Get to Know Aliana Henkin, DMD

Starting her dental career in 2007, Dr. Henkin’s passion for helping others is evident in her gentle, compassionate demeanor. Ensuring her patients feel at ease during treatment is one of her specialties, along with her ability to notice the tiniest details while administering care. Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Both of Dr. Henkin’s parents are dentists, so she grew up watching them care for patients and the rewards, challenges, and personal growth that come with this career. Inspired to follow in their footsteps, she continues to gain valuable insight into how the community and its residents can benefit from high-quality dental care. After all, they currently own and operate one of the city's most prominent dental clinics. As a result of her upbringing and her pursuit of learning from the best, she aspires to continue the family legacy with her own practice.

Where Did You Study Dentistry?

After completing her undergraduate degree, Dr. Henkin attended Rutgers School of Dental Medicine, where she achieved her dental doctorate. While in school, she joined the Gamma Pi Delta Prosthodontic Honor Society after being selected as one of the most dedicated and hardworking students in her class. After earning her degree, she completed advanced courses in implantology, endodontics, BOTOX, dermal fillers, and CEREC. She remains most interested in cosmetic and restorative dentistry, dental implants, and oral surgery.

In addition to taking continuing education courses, she is also a Fellow of the International Dental Implant Association and a member of the American Dental Association and the New Jersey Dental Association.

Outside of the Dental Office, What Do You Like to Do?

When she is not in the office caring for her patients, you’ll find Dr. Henkin spending time with her husband and daughter, as well as attending orchestra concerts, the opera, and Broadway shows when she gets the chance.
